Summary: For this project, I wanted to take pictures of my mom and my dog, Lucy. When I took pictures of my mom I told her not pose and pretend like I'm not here. When I was taking pictures of her, she was playing Word with Friends on her phone. I took pictures of her playing that game. For taking pictures of my dog, Lucy, I would follow her around. When I first took pictures of her, she was on her bed sleeping. I decided to take pictures of her on her bed sleeping. After away I got tired of taking pictures of her and thought to take pictures of my cat, Katey. However, my cat wasn't cooperating with me, so none of the pictures of her turned out well. All my cat wanted me to do was pet her. My dog overheard me taking pictures of my cat and got jealous. So I took pictures of Lucy standing next to the gate I have set up to separate my cat from my dog. What I found out from doing this project was that I like taking pictures of people posing in certain ways. I like having that control of how the picture should turn out instead of following my subjects around until something happens that would make a good picture.

Summary:  On March 25th, I attended a YTF concert with my friend at the Roseland Theater. My friend and I got really good seats. Our seats were 3 rows from the stage on the left hand side. When I was at the concert I was like it would be cool to take some pictures for photo. I brought my digital camera and I tried to take pictures with continuous shots. The problem was that the lighting on the stage was ruining my pictures. So I had to mess around with the cool features on my camera and the setting I had set my camera to would not allow me to do continuous shots. I was super sad about that because a couple of the performers were break dancing and I really wanted to take pictures of them break dancing. Sadly the pictures I tried to take were way to blurry and didn't look good. The pictures above were the best ones out of the ones I took. I thought most of the pictures would look best in black in white so I took the pictures into photoshop and desaturated and edited them. Some of them I kept in color and just edited them.

Project Summary:  I took all of these pictures within inside of the Pioneer Square mall. For the pictures I took inside of the mall, I went to the top of the mall and I leaned over the edge and I took continuous pictures of people from above. I was pretty happy with the results of the pictures from inside the mall. I then took picture of people from the sky bridge. If you look closely in some of the pictures you can see the glare from the glass. That I would say was a big problem with the pictures.

P2: Boredom Makes Beautiful Art

It was the day after it snowed, and I wanted to play in the snow so I thought I would take Lucy outside and have her enjoy the snow. This was a photo captured of her playing outside on  my back deck. I edited this on Picnik.

I took this picture about two years ago when I took a trip to Greece. One of the islands we visited was Santorini (which was the island this picture was taken on). My parents and I had heard about this Mexican Restaurant that had a great view of the sunset. I thought it would be cool to put my drink up to the sunset and see what it would do. This was the result.

Project Summary: I took all of these pictures in Portland right around Pioneer Square. Most of these pictures were taken farther away from the subjects. What I found hard about this project was getting out of that awkward state of taking pictures of random people. Another problem I had was movement and people walking  by ruining my picture.

P2: Project # 2: Mosaic-A Bush

It was super nice outside, I looked in my backyard and saw a bush that had really good lighting. I took lots of pictures of it and put them together. In photoshop, I used the hue and saturation tool to make some parts a lighter green than other parts.
